Landscaping in Small Places
It’s not as hard as you think… planting native plant gardens can be grown in small spaces such as a townhouse yard or apartment. As with any other situation, having a small space garden requires that you acknowledge the amount of space you have and only plant what’s need. However, when considering the space for your plants, don’t forget their roots so they can grow into healthy plants after planting. Landscaping in small places is pretty easy. On apartment balconies a diverse mix of potted perennials vines, small grasses and ferns can provide a great pollinator habitat for bees. Mixing spring, summer and fall blooming plants in a planter or group of planters can provide beauty and color throughout the growing season in your small places.
